Atletico Madrid close to Porto captain

Superliga player of the year Lucho Gonzalez is close to agreeing a 15 million euro deal to join La Liga club Atletico Madrid.
The Argentine midfielder has been the principal objective of the spanish club, who are seeking an offensive player for next season.
It is believed Atletico have tried to snare Gonzalez since 2004.
However, the Spanish club is intent on securing the Portugese player of the year for next season.
Porto on the other hand have shown no intentions of letting Gonzalez go, but have confirmed a 'juicy' offer could change their view on things.
Spanish media have confirmed the offer Porto want for their captain's departure is 15 million euro.
Atletico manager Javier Aguirre is keen for Gonzalez to jump ship, especially after Atletico's failed bid to snare Dutch midfielder Van De Vaart for next season.
Gonzalez's time at F.C Porto is coming to an end. After winning three Superliga titles with the club, including being crowned the league's best player in 2008, the Porto captain is eager to play elsewhere.
If the transfer is successful, Gonzalez will re-unite with his former Argentine teammates in Sergio Aguero and Maxi Rodriguez.
In more good news for Atletico, Argentine star Sergio Aguero assured he will stay at the Madrid club, putting down rumours of a possible transfer to Manchester United or Chelsea.
Aguero said he feels very satisfied at Atletico and is keen to fulfill the rest of his contract.
"My intention is to stay for one or two years at the club. The only thing i want to do is stay here because i am happy."
Aguero is currently in preperation for the Olympic games
