Boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya feels near retirement. The 35 yr old United States Boxer confesses that he suffers constant pain in both his back and knees every time he trains.
One of the best boxers over the past two decades, De la Hoya says the pain is now too much to bear after so many years of gruelling battles inside the ring.
"I have conserved my speed in the ring and I can hit with force like always," he said.
But it is just not the same as 10 years ago. I wake up at five in the morning everyday to train but I always feel back and knee pain which is a key indicator for me that retirement is near."
De la Hoya, who has achieved 30 knockouts in his career, will appear in the number one division of the CMB. In the sixth of December, he will re-appear in Las Vegas against a rival not yet decided.
The 'Golden boy' is optimistic in both his form and experience to deliver another good demonstration.
"I would love to fight against Manny Pacquiao, because he has beaten a lot of Mexican's over the years and I want vengeance."
Exhibiting a humorous mood, De la Hoya presented himself in front of all the media to announce his new show that pits Latin America's best Boxing talents against each other.
"This will no doubt give tonnes of opportunities to those that can really throw a punch" De la Hoya laughs.
