December 19th 2008 23:56

The finals draw for the Champions League has drawn up very some enticing match-ups when the competition resumes on the 24th of February next year.

The two ties that are going to cause significant interest around Europe will be Real Madrid - Liverpool and Inter Milan - Manchester United.

The draw for the Champions League was released in Lyon, France yesterday, but there was an English - Italian feel when the draw was finished.

Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United will front up against Serie A opposition Juventus and Inter Milan respectively.

The other big draw to come out of Lyon was the fascinating encounter between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Even though the draw was held in Lyon, their team will not have it easy in the next stage, coming up against the form team of Europe, Barcelona.

Teams that finished first in their group will play their first tie away from home on the 24th of February.

On the 11th of March, they will host the decisive match at their home ground.
