Favre Needs Surgery, Might Retire

Favre Is Thinking About Retirement...
Hmmm... feels like déjà vu. This time it's his ankle, and it needs surgery if Favre's gonna play this year.
There's really only one way to look at or even think about this scenario... Don't. Don't think about it, don't even think about thinking about it until preseason is halfway through. He's 40. He ought to retire. Except for the last play of the last season, Favre had about as great a "cinderella" season as a guy can hope for. Good time to pack it up and go home. Spend time with the fam. Rest the ankle. Play golf.
But... Wait. I said "don't think about it," so I'm gonna put this one away for about three more months. Then, I'll reassess.
Of course, Favre's a notorious gunslinger, and he hurts as much as helps in fantasy football, so maybe it's a moot point. I wouldn't draft him high even if he played.
I do love him, though. I hope he gets the surgery. Favre always makes some good storylines.
