Ferrer suffers wrath of young Argentine

David Ferrer has just become one of many players that have been run over by the Argentine train that is Juan Martin Del Potro.
Ferrer was beaten in straight sets by Del Potro 6-1 7-5 in the ATP event in Tokyo. The world no.5 could do little to mend the momentum of a man that has now won 28 out of his past 29 matches.
Del Potro is now making his rivals suffer big time, with Ferrer admitting the 20 year old is only going to get better.
"It's not surprising to see him playing this good," Ferrer says. "He is winning lots of matches and he seems to be getting better every week.
"I tried everything to beat him today but Juan is playing with a lot of confidence."
No doubt Ferrer will have to delete this defeat quickly from his mindset.
With this loss, the Spaniard will start preparing for next months Davis Cup final where Spain will play Argentina, most possibly in Buenos Aires.
With the Davis Cup final due to start next month, Del Potro now holds the psychological barrier over Ferrer, who will team up with world no.1 Rafael Nadal against two time runner up Argentina.
The final will be played on the 21st of November and will conclude on the 23rd of the same month.
But before the Davis Cup takes priority, Del Potro is now in prime position to take out the Tokyo ATP tournament which yields US $869,000.
If he does emerge victorious, Del Potro could find himself playing in the Masters of Shanghai at the climax of the men's Tennis season.
