F.C Porto captain Lucho Gonzalez has now firmed as a possible buy for Barcelona who are looking for an ideal replacement for departing Portugese star Deco.
The spanish diary "Sport" has reported that the Catalan giants are eager for his services.
"He is a midfielder with alot of calibre and is brilliant on the ball" the Spanish paper said.
Despite being strongly linked with fellow La Liga club Atletico Madrid, sporting director Txiki Begiristain said Gonzalez "Will have to be prepared to leave Portugal if he is to really secure his future".
But the Portugese giants have made it clear that an offer in the vicinity of 25 MIllion Euros will allow the Porto captain to leave for Spain.
After securing his full contract last summer, Porto will not let a cheap transfer get in the way of Gonzalez leaving the club.
The Portugese giants, Who are currently in the running to retain the Portugese Superliga, have expressed that opposition clubs will have to fork out hefty pay checks in order to secure the Argentine playmaker.
