Kaka forever in Milan
January 15th 2009 00:08
AC Milan midfielder Kaka says he 'wants to grow old in Milan' in the face of Manchester City's record breaking 100 million Euro offer for the Brazilian.
City have flexed their financial muscle at Kaka, yet the former World Player of the Year remains unruffled at Manchester's massive offers.
Kaka made it clear to Italian media that he intends on staying with Milan for the rest of his career.
Although City would offer Kaka a contract that would yield 15 million euros a season, the Brazilian says he has already rejected offers of that magnitude before.
It would be hard for any player to leave a world class club like Milan, let alone ones as influential as Kaka.
The Brazilian midfielder won the 2007 FIFA player of the year award after he helped guide Milan to Champions League glory, beating English giants Liverpool.
He also won the World Club Championships in Tokyo defeating Boca Juniors in the final.
Even though City's status in the Premier League is growing with the recent inclusion of Brazilian star Robinho, their roster can not attest to the divine skill currently at Milan.
The Rossineri have some of the finest players at their disposal, among them Pirlo, Ronaldinho, Seedorf, Nesta, Kaladze and Inzaghi.
Kaka completes the puzzle of an electric roster that is constantly in contention for some of Europe's major club championships.
Indeed City’s cash has to come hand in hand with success on the field if Kaka is to even consider moving from the San Siro.
