Li Na dethrones Williams from world no.1 perch

Serena Williams' defeat today has proclaimed Jelena Jankovic as the no.1 female Tennis player on the planet.
The Serbian regained the world no.1 ranking after Williams was shocked by China's world no.30 Li Na 0-6 6-1 6-4 in Stuggart.
Williams' reign on top did not last long.
Her loss against Na automatically displaced the American from her position of privilege.
Na’s result however benefited none other than Jankovic, who from Monday, will find herself in the pinnacle of Women's Tennis.
If an upset was ever brewing on the cards for Na, no one would have guessed it as Williams stormed through the first set, taking it 6-0.
From there though, Williams' form faltered big-time and Na was good enough to take advantage, upstaging the recent US Open champion by claiming the next two sets.
After her defeat, Williams said her winning mentality failed to rear its head after dominating the first set against her Chinese opponent.
"One always has the pressure of being world no.1 in the back of their minds, but I always concentrate on winning," Williams said.
"When I concentrate, the rest takes care of itself. It didn't happen for me today."
Jankovic meanwhile debuts in Stuggart tomorrow against Ukrainian Alona Bondarenko.
The tournament is on hard courts and the prize money overall is US $650,000.
Regardless of her result in this tournament, Jankovic will be crowned the new world no.1.
