Ronaldinho out of favour with Brazil - for now
September 26th 2008 00:34
Brazilian coach Dunga has left out AC Milan midfielder Ronaldinho for Brazil's two upcoming world cup qualifiers.
Dunga, who recieved a backlash from supporters following his side's nil all draw at home to Bolivia, said Ronaldinho's fitness is not up to standard.
"He needs to train more with his new club. I am confident though that Dinho will be back playing his best for both club and country."
Making his way back to the side however is Ronaldinho's Milan teammate and current world player of the year Kaka.
"Kaka is now well and it is normal to have him back in the side," Dunga said.
Milan's chief playmaker has not played for Brazil since November 2007 and it seems Brazil and Dunga have suffered in his absence.
The recent scoreless draw against last placed Bolivia did not sit well with the Brazilian public.
Indeed fans and critics alike have blamed Dunga for the lack of form Brazil have shown these past few months.
Werden Bremen midfielder Diego has also been left out of the squad while Inter Milan forward Mancini is back for Brazil after a two year absence from the 'Selecao'.
