Portugese superstar Christiano Ronaldo is on holiday in the USA and will not re-unite with manager Sir Alex Ferguson to discuss his future at the club.
Ronaldo has already manifested his desire to play for Real Madrid but United are reluctant to let the player go.
The sour relationship between Ronaldo and the 'Red Devils' appears irreversible. The Premier League player of the year is keen for a transfer to Spain.
United, however are still keen to retain his services for next season. As it stands, the future for Ronaldo at Manchester looks very bleak.
United - who are the current Premier League and European champions, confirmed Bulgarian star Berbatov firms as the likely replacement for Ronaldo.
The English champions are believed to be offering 35 million euro for Berbatov's services if Ronaldo heads to Madrid.
Spanish media confirmed Ronaldo - who is on holiday with family and friends, has a severe desire to leave Old Trafford as soon as possible.
It is believed Ronaldo is taking time off to avoid meeting up with Ferguson, himself stating he wants to discuss the Portugese stars future at the club.
The latest series of actions between Ronaldo and United sends out a clear message to both the club and the fans.
For now, there is no contact between Ronaldo and Manchester.
