Ronaldo to stay United with Manchester

Cristiano Ronaldo has defied media speculation he his heading elsewhere by pledging his allegiance to current club Manchester United.
The Portuguese superstar, who is the prime figure in United and winner of the Balon De Or, says there is no existing deal that will see him head to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Ronaldo is very happy playing England and thanks the supporters and manager Sir Alex Ferguson for assisting his decision to remain at United, despite massive interest from Madrid in the middle of 2008.
"There will always be speculation on not just my future, but the future of other players’ as well," Ronaldo said.
"All this recent hype about a possible deal that will see me at Madrid next season are not true.
"I am very happy here in England, at United and I want to stay. I feel very comfortable, like it’s my own home."
Ronaldo also took time to throw flowers to United fans, who he thinks helped him out of a very tough period in regards to speculation about his future with Manchester.
"They are very good supporters and I appreciate that. The fans have always been very considerable with me, not just last season, but for all the years I have been at the club."
It is without doubt though the man with the biggest influence in Ronaldo's career so far is manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
"I am at United because of him. He has always helped me and he always lets me know that he wants to win titles with me in the side. He is a very important figure in my career."
