United approaching a dynasty

Manchester United look set to cap off a tremendous 2007-08 season with a Premier League and Champions League title.
They really have played terrific football over the past two years and deserve the silverware that is currently on offer.
Their only opponents in Chelsea have also performed extremely well after suffering irregular form early in the season which eventually saw the club's most successful manager in Jose Mourinho depart.
Current Chelsea coach Avrant Grant has done a supreme job at the london club and really should be offered a a contract for next season.
Despite their recent successes though, Chelsea still face un uphill battle to win both the Premier League and Champions League this season.
Their opponents in United have by far been the most consistent team in the competition for the past two years.
United's road to glory has seen them strike up an astonishing home record this season.
Out of the 19 games that have been played at Old Trafford, the Red Devils have won on 17 occasions with a loss and a draw robbing them of a perfect record.
Regardless, United still rank No.1 in terms of games won at home in the Premier League.
Their away record is not too shabby either, winning 9 from 18 matches including 5 draws and just 4 losses. United rank third in that department with Chelsea the leader in that area.
In terms of point scoring prowess, United have dazzled all before them to score an astonishing 78 goals this season. The most of any team in the League. That is the equivalent of 2 goals per game.
Their defence has also been outstanding. Only 22 goals have gone past Van Der Sar this season and that grants them the Leagues best defensive outfit aswell.
Those results speak volumes about United's dominance this season and this looks set to serve them well in the years to come.
The good thing for United is that most of their players are so young and are beginning to reach the prime of their careers. Along with Arsenal, they are the best team in England in finding and developing player talent.
Just look at their young brigade. Ronaldo, Nani, Tevez and Rooney highlight what will become the core of a United outfit that looks set to dominate the Premier League and Europe for years to come.
They really should beat Chelsea in Moscow in the final of the Champions League and claim the title as Europe's premier club team after 9 years in the wilderness.
As for the future, United now have what it takes to take England and the rest of the continent by storm. Their friction will turn to fire and that this looks set to burn all opposition before them.
Let the fun begin.
