Walcott gunning for Arsenal release

Arsenal striker Theo Walcott could turn his back on Arsenal after a vicious row with the club, reports the Bulgarian daily Meridian match.
Walcott apparently attacked the Arsenal board for refusing to engage in discussions about prolonging his contract that is due to expire in the summer of 2010.
One of the main factors behind the board's reluctance to do so is Walcott's demand for a substantial wage increase.
Consequently, according to FIFA regulations, the striker can leave Arsenal and join any club willing to pay the meager 400 000 pounds sterling, or 80 000 pounds for each season in service for Arsenal – which amounts to 400 000 in total.
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger bought Walcott back in 2006 from Southampton for five million pounds sterling.
According to the sensational article from Meridian match, Walcott is earning 20 000 per month, which is far below the average wages for premiership clubs.
For a man of his talents, it is no surprise to see Walcott in a mood of distress over his commitment to Arsenal, who themselves are struggling this season, compared to the other big four in England, consisting of United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
