Wigan looking to wreck Manchester United’s title dreams

Wigan are looking forward to being the most hated team on the planet – by wrecking Manchester United’s title dream.
Chairman Dave Whelan knows United’s 330 million fans worldwide will probably never forgive his club if they deny Alex Ferguson’s side all three points at the JJB Stadium on Sunday.
That would surely hand the title to Chelsea, who entertain Bolton in their final game.
But even though Whelan is a great admirer of Fergie, he vowed the visitors would be getting no favours from Steve Bruce’s men.
Whelan declared: “We would probably be the most disliked team in the world if we win. But we don’t mind that. We’re going to give it a go.
“Talk of us rolling over and letting Sir Alex’s team win is rubbish. There is nothing we would like better than to roll Manchester United over.
“If we can beat United, we’ll do it. Our lads are up for it big style. They are relaxed and confident after our fantastic win at Aston Villa last week, which guaranteed we would stay up.
“If the players put on another performance like that, I’d say United have a hell of a fight on.”
But United would be wary of their opposition in the last round, having lost last season to West Ham in the penultimate round of the premiership where Carlos Tevez finished the Red Devils off.
Now wearing the Red shirt, Tevez will be one of the keys in bringing United's second Premier league title in successive seasons.
